In addition to the April 1-9th sale, we will also have a $5.99 a yard fabric sale!

In a designated area of the store, bolts of fabrics will be offered at $5.99 a yard, you have to drop by to see. These fabrics cannot be combined with any other coupon offers, they ARE $5.99.

Tutu Day at The VS!

So how cute is this? Four of our girls made tutus and the other 2 made drawstring bags they can use as an overnight bag or school bag! Great job girls!! Next weeks project: The Snap Sak, see ya then!

Girls make and take it classes!

A specialty here at The VS is teaching children to sew and boy have they been busy! Making everything from initial pillows for their beds to pillowcases, stockings, skirts, doll clothes, valentine door hangers...the lists goes on....I always enjoy sharing the photos with you all as I'm sure it will bring a smile to your faces as it does mine....Enjoy!

An Elizabeth City Girl Scout Troop visits The VS!

Pillowcases were the project of the evening with this troop! These girls had a great time learning to operate sewing machines and sew all in one night! The pillowcases they made were generously donated to a local nursing home here in E.C. Great job girls, we enjoyed having you : )

Announcing!! Crafters Central!!

The Velvet Stitch is pleased to announce our newest addition to the shop...Crafters Central!

Starting Febuary 1, 2011, we are offering you the crafter, a place to bring and consign your HANDMADE gifts.

Contract details will be available in the shop on Monday January 17th.

ALL GIFTS MUST BE HANDMADE, NOTHING OUT OF A BOX!!!

Gifts must come from a NON-SMOKING HOME ONLY!

There will be NO exceptions to this rule.

You must provide your own displays.
Pick up your contract details January 17 in the shop.
