Flag Day at Perquimans Central School!

The Velvet Stitch went to Perquimans Central School today and taught second graders how to make garden flags for their Butterfly Garden school project! They were all very proud of their work and so were we. Enjoy the pictures I took! Great job students, we look forward to seeing you in our summer camps!

Summer Camps for Children

Here's a preview of some of the projects the kids will be making this summer. We have added 4 extra camps this year. The dates are on our website calendar. Classes are $65 plus supplies and we do supply the machines. Please register early to reserve your spot!

Thursday and Saturdays Handbag Class

If you'd to join us Thursday night or Saturday morning, we still have one spot left in each class to make this delicious handbag! Class is free when supplies are purchased at the Velvet Stitch! Love to have you join us. Supply list is in the shop, make sure you reserve your machine in advance if you need one and don't forget your zipper foot to make the cording!

Ms Linda Stikes Again!

The VS welcomes a local Girl Scout group!

Tonight, eight young ladies in Troop #7829 earned there sewing badges!

The girls came in eager to sew and made cell phone bags! Great job girls, we're very proud of you : )
